Paddington Basin’s hotel, which is being led by developer Concierge 3, a consortium of BSW Land & Property, StayCity and The Pickstock Group working with contractors McAleer & Rushe has reached topping out at its 19th floor.
The hotel is set to open in summer 2021 and is a unique two-pack hotel, bringing 393 Premier Inn beds as well as 249 StayCity ApartHotel rooms under one roof, a hospitality model that is being seen more and more in cities across the UK for its clear benefits. This type of hotel attracts different target demographics and it’s also more cost effective for hoteliers by maximising the resources under one roof whilst minimising costs for the owners and developers.
The hotel is perfectly located for the future launch of the Elizabeth Line and is part of the larger Paddington Basin Masterplan which will see the area regenerated to grow the area as a business and leisure hub.
“We are really pleased to have reached the topping out stage of the build in these challenging times, and this is thanks to the team’s commitment to the project” commented Kate Pickstock, Development Surveyor at The Pickstock Group.
